Lilah Bright Obituary

Lilah L. Bright, 86, of Tremont, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare of East Peoria.

She was born January 23, 1936 in Mackinaw to Frank and Mildred Rowell She married Ron Bright on December 2, 1990 in Mackinaw, and he survives.

Also surviving are her children, Raymond Potter of Morton, Beverly (Eric) Rogers of Pekin, and Phyllis Moore of Morton; three stepchildren, Ken Bright of Tremont, Janet (Chris) Durham of Hopedale, and Jean Ann Hert of McLean; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Edwin; one grandson; and nine brothers and sisters.

Lilah worked at Kroger’s in Morton and Pekin and was a partner in Quarter Construction with her husband.

She was a member of TOPS, Morton Chapter.

She enjoyed country music and dancing, cooking, sewing, crafts, gardening, flowers, and traveling.

Her funeral will be at 10:00 am Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Roger Stuber will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gaines Cemetery , rural Minier.

Memorials may be made to Northfield Christian Fellowship in Tremont or Ruby’s Rescue.
