Linda K. Springer

Linda Kay Springer, 81, of Delavan, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin.

She was born July 27, 1942 in Lincoln to Howard and Opal Barbee Steiger.  She married Arlis Springer on December 27, 1964 in Hopedale, and he survives.

Also surviving are one sister, Ruth Rogers of Elizabethtown, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ralph Lee and Henry Alan; One brother-in-law, Gene Rogers; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Steiger and Marilyn Steiger.

Linda graduated from Delavan High School and Bradley University and taught business classes at Tremont High School for 30 years.

She was a member of Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale.

Music was a big part of Linda’s life and she enjoyed playing the piano and organ at her church.

Her specialty was making greeting cards, loved watching the Golden State Warriors, following the career of Hersey Hawkins, and was an avid collector of Santa’s.

Her funeral will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale.  Pastor Roger Springer will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:00 pm Monday and one hour before the service at the church.  Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Living Hope Community Church or TAPS.
