Obituary
Linda Sue Stansbury, age 65, passed away January 31, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 24, 1957 in Pekin to Ken and Hazel (Schimmelpfenning) Stansbury.
Linda is survived by her parents and sisters, Judy Stansbury of Mackinaw and Marsha (Lance) Ware of Kenai, Alaska; one brother-in-law, Ken Hawkins of Spokane Valley, Washington; five nieces and nephews; Jesse, Lori, Callie, Frieda, and Ancel; seven great nieces and nephews; Emmit, Wally, Laela, Evan, Tate, Tessa, and Seryna.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Hawkins.
After graduating from Dee-Mack High School, she went to Patricia Stevens Career College in Milwaukee. She then worked at Marquette University in Milwaukee for 2 years. She retired from Verizon after 20 years. Then she worked for 10 years with Enterprise Car Rental.
Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. Lunch will be served at the church following the service with a graveside service at 1:30 pm at Mackinaw Township Cemetery in Mackinaw. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Monday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont, and from 10:00-10:45 am Tuesday at the Church.
Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or Bethel Lutheran Church, Morton, IL.
