She and her mother recently began attending church at Imago Dei Church in Peoria, IL where she quickly made new friends and reconnected with one of her favorite teachers from school.
Lisa had a great work ethic and always went above and beyond her job expectations. Her nickname was “Turtle” because she may have been as slow as a turtle, but she always got the job done. After high school, Lisa was employed by Pekin Hospital for 11 years in dietary. She was later employed in janitorial with TCRC in Tremont for many years. Lisa was employed with LaCosta where she worked as janitorial in Goodfield, IL at CASE IH when she passed. She was proud to call them her “work family”.
Lisa Loved to travel and went on many adventures with her mother and other family members. Prior to her passing, she informed her mother that she took the day off for her birthday and they were going to get their passports. When asked where she was planning to go, she replied she didn’t know but they should get their passports “just in case”.
Lisa enjoyed participating in Quarter Auctions for charity. She and her mother would attend 4-5 auctions a month. She enjoyed diamond painting and made several pictures to give to others. In the evenings she was glued to her phone or watching old shows such as Golden Girls, Welcome Back Kotter, Pettycoat Junction, Everyone Loves Raymond and several others. Lisa was the biggest fan of the Spice Girls, Ninja Turtles, the Golden Girls and Snoop Dog
Lisa always had a smile for those she met. She had a big and patient heart. Lisa accepted others for who they were and tried to make life a little happier. Everyone who met Lisa loved her. She will be missed by many.
