Louis D. Anderson

Louis D. Anderson, 92, of Delavan, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Christian Village in Lincoln.

He was born January 31, 1929 in Emden to Ephan and Lottie Schneider Anderson. He married Donna Belle Garber on November 25, 1951 in Emden, and she survives. 

Also surviving are his two sons, Keith L. Anderson of Delavan and Ivan D. Anderson of Emden; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Selma Anderson of Emden. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Wayne D. Anderson on February 28, 1988; and one sister, Alice Baker. 

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. 

Louis farmed in Boynton Township his entire adult life and served as Boynton Township Road Commissioner from 1983 until 2013. He also served on the Emden Park District Board and the Emden Elevator Board. 

He was a devoted member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden, where his funeral will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 1, 2021. Pastor John Schurter and Chaplain Ryan Edgecombe will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:45 am Friday, also at the church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Emden.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
