Lowell “Kendall” Bissell, 64, of Hopedale, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born February 10, 1960 in Peoria to Lowell Kendall and Rose Louise Waldbesser Bissell Sr.
Surviving are his children, Andy (Abby) Jackson of Mackinaw, Lowell “LB” (Brittney) Bissell III of Fairbanks, AK, Ernest “Ernie” Bissell of Hopedale, Krissy Antrim of Heyworth, Erin Bissell of Hopedale, and Melissa (Rob) Park of Bloomington; several grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Bruce Altrum Jr. of Joliet; one sister, Judy Hulett of Tremont; and sister-in-law, Vicki Wilson of Creve Coeur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerry and Floyd Bissell; and one son, Edward “Eddie”.
Kendall was a millwright for Local 1051 in Lincoln.
He served in the Army National Guard.
He was an active member of the Tremont American Legion Post 1236, where he participated in many activities including the Tazewell Military Rites Team, Sons of the American Legion, and 40 & 8.
Kendall enjoyed gardening and shooting guns.
His funeral will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:45 pm Wednesday, also at the church. Burial will be in Orendorff Cemetery in Hopedale. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
