Lynne arrived March 17, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan and departed peacefully September 26, 2022 in her home in rural Mackinaw, Illinois. She was surrounded by loving family.
Lynne was an incredibly talented artist. She enjoyed creating oil paintings of landscapes that were so beautiful; it was as if you could walk right into the scenes. For holidays, she crafted stunning tablescapes and adorned each setting with coordinating name plates, warmly welcoming each person to their seat at the table. Christmas followed suit, with gifts so creatively and beautifully wrapped - you almost felt guilty opening them.
Lynne's happy place was vacationing with her family in the Turks and Caicos Islands - British West Indies. So many wonderful and fun memories were made on those islands. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. Lynne and her husband, Roger formed many close friendships with the islanders ("Belongers").
Lynne had a sweet tooth, and enjoyed baking her late mother, Betty's famous apple pie and cookies. She loved scrap-booking, snorkeling, fishing, searching for sea shells and listening to country music.
Lynne is survived by Roger, her devoted husband of 32 years, her children, Wendy Havens, Michael Havens and Kimberly Havens, her grandchildren, Brandon Kilgore, Cecilia Havens and Ryan Kilgore, her brother, Clayton Croy and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at New Castle Bible Church Cemetery on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Dance with the waves,
Move with the sea,
Let the rhythm of the water,
Set your soul free.
