Marcia Griffey Obituary

Marcia W. Griffey, 79, of Delavan, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 at Accolade Healthcare of East Peoria.

She was born August 19, 1944 in Peoria to Covey Robert and Lois Mary Margaret Jibben Workman. She married Brian E. Griffey on July 28, 1989 and he passed away in 2014.

Surviving are two sisters, Wanda Bodish of Peoria and Sandra Farrance of Delavan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers-in-law, George Bodish and Bill Farrance.

Marcia was a legal secretary in Reno, NV.

She was a member of the Peoria Jaycees.

Marcia enjoyed sewing, painting, traveling, and fashion, including buying clothes and shoes.

Cremation will be accorded. A private graveside service will be at Mason City Cemetery in Mason City. Pastor David Jacob will officiate. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Delavan.
