Margaret Frahm Obituary

Margaret Frahm, 98, of Minier, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Hopedale Nursing Home. 

She was born August 7, 1924 in Bloomington to Albert and Fern Carlock Birky.  She married Dayton W. Frahm on January 30, 1949 in Hudson, and he passed away June 10, 2007. 

Surviving are two sons, Jeff (Deanna) Frahm of Mackinaw and Gary (Lisa) Frahm of McLean; one daughter, Jannie (Steve) Toliver of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren, Troy Wallace, Tim Wallace, Josh (Taylor) Frahm, Grant Frahm, Matthew (Mary) Frahm, Abbey (Mike) Hainline, Steve Toliver, Cody Toliver, Casey Toliver, and Kendra Toliver; five great grandchildren, Kennedy, Chloe, Daxon, Harper, and Dayton; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Henderson of Bloomington and Imogene Foreman of California. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Billy; three brothers, Richard, James, and William; one sister, Ann Francis. 

Margaret worked at HG & N and Early Bird Fertilizer in Stanford and Armington for over 30 years. 

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Minier and its women’s group, member of Minier American Legion Auxiliary,  and a member of the “Sewing Club”. 

Margaret thoroughly enjoyed being with her grandchildren.  She was loved and will be missed by all. 

Her funeral will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Minier.  Rev. Robert Sherman will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Monday at the church fellowship hall.  Burial will be in Minier Cemetery.  Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Minier is handling the arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
