Maribeth Kilbride Obituary

Maribeth D. Kilbride, a beloved wife and mother, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was sixty-four.

Born to Russell and Mildred (Martin) Dace on April 3, 1958, Maribeth graduated at Illinois Central College with an Associates in Graphic Arts. Working at Saga Foods in Western Illinois University, she met Robert Kilbride at a catering event. On May 27, 1983 she married Robert in Fandon, Illinois. They were together for nearly forty years. She is survived by her husband and three children: Vincent Kilbride of Mackinaw, Jessica (Stephen) Ramp of Peoria, and Abigail Kilbride of Mackinaw; one brother, Jeff Dace and wife Tara of Madisonville, Kentucky; and one sister, Regina (Mark) Moyes of Plymouth, Illinois. She has been preceded in death by her parents and her baby brother, Tim Dace.

Maribeth had a big heart for animals and her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking desserts for any event, and reading. Anyone who stopped by always left with a full tummy! She was her children's number one fan, always pouring into her family and their activities. She was a professional organizer and actively volunteered at church, girl and boy scouts, school activities, and sport fundraisers. She always looked forward to meeting and talking with fellow parents. No matter the distance, she was there with a smile, cheer, and the biggest hug.

She was also a member of the Mackinaw United Methodist Church where she assisted with Vacation Bible School and various other church activities and committees.

Maribeth was best known for her tender, loving heart and selflessness. Her visitation will be on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mackinaw United Methodist Church. Her funeral will be on the following day at 10 a.m., also hosted by the Mackinaw United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery.  Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Ruby's Rescue, Mackinaw Stout Foundation, or the American Kidney Foundation.
