Obituary
Marilyn M. Squires, 84, of San Jose, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home.
She was born April 10, 1938 in Pekin to Elmer and Edith Leipnick Harris. She married Harold Squires on March 17, 1963 in San Jose, and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Mark (Beth) Squires of Delavan; one granddaughter, Jacelyn Squires of Delavan; one brother, James (Louise) Harris of Ottawa; and one sister-in-law, Sue Harris of New York, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Justin Squires; one granddaughter, Rachel Frizzell; and one brother, Richard Harris.
Marilyn worked as a secretary for the San Jose Grade School for several years and San Jose Water Department for a couple of years.
She was a member of San Jose United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the San Jose Booster Club.
Marilyn was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles.
Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Monday, January 30, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan. Allen Payne will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose.
