Marjorie L. Runyon

Marjorie L. Runyon, 92, of Delavan, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at her home.  

She was born May 1, 1929 in Higbee, MO to Louis J. and Mary H. Reeves Westfall.  She married Leo J. Prewitt on May 10, 1947 in Moberly, MO and he passed away April 14, 2001.  She later married Teddy A. Runyon on April 14, 2007 in Delavan, and he passed away January 10, 2017. 

Surviving are one brother, Frank E. (Reva Jean) Westfall of Denver, CO; one sister, Clara Josephine “Jo” (Wayne) Newman of Bolivar, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; her cats, Sammy and Ceeley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters, and several nieces and nephews. 

Marjorie worked at a shoe factory in Moberly, MO and farmed with her husband, Leo. 

She was active in many churches over the years. 

She was an avid gardener made white oak baskets. 

Her funeral will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan.  Pastor Dave Lynn will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.  A grave side service and entombment will be  at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 15, 2022at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, MO.
