Mark C. Pemberton, 65, of Peoria, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at Unity Point Health Methodist with Pam by his side.
He was born October 12, 1955 in Peoria to Elvin L. and Carol M. Meyer Pemberton. They preceded him in death along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Surviving are his fiancé of 20 years, Pam Dubois of Peoria; one brother, Gary (Diana) Pemberton of Havana; two nieces, Heidi Pemberton of Peoria and Brittney (Nick) Lundeen of Lexington; two step-sons from an earlier marriage, Jason Gunderson of Peoria and Jayme (Erin) Gunderson of Metamora; and several cousins.
Mark was also a very special part of the DuBois family, where he acquired many more family members, including grandkids that he loved.
He worked at Caterpillar as a machinist for 40 years, before retiring in 2014. He was a member of UAW in East Peoria.
He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
At his request, there will be no service due to COVID. Cremation will be accorded, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
