Jack Andrews, 90, of Delavan, IL, peacefully passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home.
He was born June 26, 1931, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Marvin Jackson Andrews, Sr. and Sophia (Koch). From the age of four he was raised by Marvin and Eleanor (Shell). Jack married Roberta “Bobbie” Smith on April 21, 1962, in Whitehaven, TN.
Jack is survived by his wife, Bobbie; one daughter, Laura (Todd) Andrews-Rein of Morton, IL; one son, Steven Andrews of Marshall, IL. He had 3 grandchildren, Michael Andrews of Morton, IL; Emily Rein of Suwanee, GA; and Shelby Andrews (Tim Wyland) of Chicago, IL. Also surviving is his sister Ann (Bill) Taymans of Pittsburgh, PA.
Jack graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Jack retired from the State of Illinois but continued to farm the family farm. Jack was a model railroad enthusiast and traveled throughout the US and Canada for conventions.
Jack was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Delavan and served as Church Auditor for decades.
A private graveside service will be held with burial at Prairie Rest Cemetery. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
