Mary Blair

Mary Lee Blair, 90, of Washington, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Carle Heath Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

She was born November 29, 1934 in Pekin to John and Gladys Fluegel Garmers.  She married Donald Blair in 1954 and celebrated 70 years of marriage in August.  He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Mark Blair of McCormick, S.C., Jamie (Art) Schlappi of Waynesboro, VA, Becky (Jim) Kelly of East Peoria, IL, and Jill Snyder of Mackinaw; She loved her 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchilden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack Garmers; two sisters, Betty Eggleston and Nancy Yentes; one grandson, Ryan Snyder; and son-in-law, Tim Snyder.

Mary and Don were active members of the Mackinaw Christian Church and attended many of their children’s school functions. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.  Pastor Judith Guy will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
