Mary A. Camp, 101, of Delavan, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at St. Clara’s Rehab and Health in Lincoln.
She was born January 1, 1923 in Standard City to Ira Edward and Mary Elizabeth Swires. She married George Camp in Peoria and he passed away January 17, 1970.
Surviving are her children, David (Jan) Camp of Topeka and Georgianna Ross of Delavan; eight grandchildren, Jill Hayes, Michelle (Marc) Noreuil, Joey (Jess) Camp, Allison (Jeff) Schieferle Uhlenbrock, Jeff (Susan) Camp, Kasey (Brandi) Groenewold, Ron (Brandy) Ross, and Michael Ross; 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Patsy Winkler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Janice Vonachen and Becky Groenewold; one son, Michael Camp; one infant daughter; and one granddaughter, Jodie Brown.
Mary was a homemaker and a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church in Minier.
Shye enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be at 10:00 am Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan. Pastor John Horner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
