Mary Crow Obituary

  Mary Kathrine "Kay" Breshears Crow, 90, of Roanoke formerly of Delavan, passed away at 2:15 pm Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke. She was born May 16, 1929 in Center, Missouri to Jessie William and Francis Genevieve Story Breshears. She married Ralph R. Crow on September 9, 1950 in Hannibal, MO and he passed away on August26, 2004. She and Ralph reared a family and resided most of their married life in Delavan. Surviving are five sons, Stephen (Barbara) Crow of Milford, OH, Donald (Karol) Crow of Creve Coeur, Jerald (Robin) Crow of Phoenix, AZ, Rodney (Dawn) Crow of Neenah, WI and Roger (Lisa) Crow of Roanoke; two daughters, Carol (Allan) Heinisch of Myrtle Beach, SC and Linda (John) Auxier of Mason City; 24 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ray, Fred, William and Jessie Jr.; three sisters, Goldie, Ruby and Peggy. She was a Christian lady, loving wife, mother and grandmother who served at the Delavan Baptist Church teaching Sunday school, and Vacation Bible School. She was a great cook and served for years on the kitchen committee preparing and serving meals for wedding receptions and funeral dinners. She loved sewing outfits for her granddaughters and was happiest whenever there were large family gatherings for holidays and birthdays in her home. Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Oak Grove Bible Church in East Peoria. Rev. Cliff Elliott will officiate. A visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Prairie Rest in Delavan. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is Handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
