Mary L. Rowell

Mary L. Rowell, 98, of Hopedale, formerly of Tremont, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Hopedale Nursing Home.

She was born September 25, 1926 to William and Emma (Knapp) Lay. She married Alvin Rowell on June 30, 1951 in Tremont, and he passed away October 17, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters.

Mary is survived by her son, Randy (Lu Ann) Rowell; one granddaughter, Krystal (Bryan) Veginski, and their two children, Oliver and Owen.

Mary loved taking care of her family, spending time with her granddaughter, and taking vacation trips to Wisconsin to fish. Mary also enjoyed playing card games with her family and friends.

A private graveside service was held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont with Pastor Noah Lee officiating. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont handled the arrangements.
