Mary Ann Lacefield

Mary Ann Lacefield, 74, of Hopedale, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at her home. 

She was born December 4, 1947 in Winchester, IN to Raymond and Martha Stofiel Canada.  She married Larry G. Lacefield on February 25, 1966 in Caseyville, IL, and he passed away May 30, 2007. 

Surviving are three daughters, Stacy Tripod and Karen Lacefield, both of Minier, and Martha (Ben) Temple of Greer, SC; six grandchildren, Brandon Grissom, Alyssa (Aaron) Tackett, Darcy Tripod, Charles, Philip, and Abigail Temple; one great granddaughter, Magnolia Grissom; and three brothers, Raymond (Dee) Canada of Slidell, LA, Howard (Jeannie) Canada of St. Louis, and Richard (Marvetta) Canada of Grand Prairie, TX. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Mary Ann was a registered nurse for many years working at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria and Hopedale Hospital. 

She served  on the Hopedale Rescue Squad for many years. 

Her funeral will be at 2:30 pm Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Minier.  Pastor Roger Springer will officiate.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:15 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mennonite Cemetery in Hopedale. 

Memorials may be made to Hopedale Rescue Squad or Hopedale Lion’s Club.
