Michael Dorsey Obituary

On July 25, 1978 in Pekin, IL, Micheal Don Dorsey started his journey; you became a son and  a little brother.

Mike was born to Michael Dorsey and Joyce Bridgewater.  He was preceded in death by his father Ron Howard. As his journey went on, Mike accomplished many things like riding a bicycle, doing cartwheels, doing simple things, making it through grade school, becoming the class clown, having beautiful handwriting, was a good friend to many, had the ability to fall asleep in any vehicle before getting out of town.

In high school, you went to state in wrestling and brought home third place and your name on the 20-win club.

As your journey continued, you had a life of carnival.  Growing up in the carnival, he worked on major rides and games and even worked with the food. You learned how to drive and stay awake while driving vehicles because you accomplished the “Million Mile Safety Free in a semi for XPO. You have walked the walk and talked the talk with the girls because you were a ladies’ man.

On April 3, 1999, you married Misty Nicholson.  Mike and Misty Dorsey have added two wonderful young men, William and Etan Dorsey.

On March 15, 2025, Micheal Don Dorsey went home to rest with his dad, Ron Howard in St. Louis, MO at the age of 46 years, 4 months, and 21 days.  He is survived by his wife, Sarah Dorsey of St. Louis , MO; two sons, William Micheal Dorsey and Ethan Daniel Dorsey (and their mother, Misty Dorsey), all of Evansville, IN; his mother, Joyce Howard of Minier; his big brother, Darrell Littrell of Minier; nephew Zachary Taylor Littrell of Minier, who he was very proud, of Minier.

As the tears are running down our faces, you will always be in our hearts, full of love and memories.

A celebration of Micheal’s life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, April26, 2025 at Minier Christian Church.  Rodney Wade will officiate. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Minier is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to  St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
