Nancy Nannen

Nancy E. Nannen, 86, of Emden, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Lincoln Village Healthcare Center in Lincoln.

She was born February 20, 1937 in Emden to Harm and Rosie Mayer Hildebrants.  She married Gerald W. Nannen on September 15, 1957 at the Zion United Methodist Church in Emden, and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Melinda (Jerry) Lessen of Lincoln and Jorene (Jim) Boerma of Emden; three grandchildren, Allison and Jason Matthews of Lincoln and Joli (Brandon) Boerma-Crane of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her parent, two brothers, and two half-sisters.

Nancy worked 17 years at B.B. Milling Company in Emden and was Postmaster at the Hartsburg Post Office for 33 years.

She was a former member of Zion United Methodist Church in Emden, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

She enjoyed reading, collecting antiques and stamps.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose.  Frank Brozenec will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements. 

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society in Lincoln or Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL).
