In Loving Memory of Nancy Carol Sauder (Stoller)
Nancy Carol Sauder (Stoller), 90, of Morton, IL, peacefully entered her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL.
Nancy was born on December 11, 1935, in Bloomington, IL to George and Lorene (Miller) Stoller. At a young age, she gave her heart to Jesus Christ and followed Him faithfully throughout her life. Her faith was reflected in the way she loved and served others, living the Gospel through kindness, humility, and generosity.
Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Merle Sauder whom she married on June 23, 1957, in Gridley, IL, and their life together was marked by love and devotion. She treasured every season of life spent alongside Merle, faithfully supporting him throughout his lifelong career as a farmer. She lovingly prepared meals and carried them to the fields to feed Merle and the crews, always making sure others were cared for before herself.
Though much of their life was centered around the farm and family, Nancy and Merle treasured the times they could slip away together. They especially enjoyed traveling to Branson, where they made many happy memories. They also looked forward to many meals out at their favorite restaurants and watching her Bradley Braves play basketball. Those simple moments together brought them great joy and reflected the deep friendship they shared throughout their marriage.
Her home was a place of warmth and welcome. Nancy had a servant’s heart and never wanted anyone to leave her table hungry, making sure family, friends, and neighbors were always met with hospitality and a good meal. Nancy’s gentle spirit and kindness touched everyone she met. She served quietly and without seeking recognition, reflecting the character of Christ in her daily life. Her legacy will be one of faith, sacrificial and unconditional love, humble service, kindness, and generosity that will continue to bless her family for generations. Nancy’s life was a beautiful reminder that love is often shown in quiet acts of service. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered until the day her family is reunited with her in heaven.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Cindy Sauder of Morton and Trudy (Dean) Bolliger of Tremont; two granddaughters, Paige (Dustin) Kilgus of Tremont and Brooke (Nathaniel) Kaiser of Morton; and seven great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Skylar, Kash, and Kora Kilgus of Tremont, and Luna, Trace, and Quinn Kaiser of Morton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Sauder; her sister, Elaine Schmidgall; her brother, Don Stoller; and her parents. While her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in knowing Nancy is in the presence of the Savior she loved and served.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
