Nancy L. White

HOPEDALE – Nancy Lea (Griesemer) White, 68, of Hopedale, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 25, 1955, to Leon C. and Mary L. (Harris) Griesemer. Nancy married Arlan “Joe” White on November 8, 1975, in Hopedale.

Surviving are her husband, Arlan “Joe” White of Hopedale; five children, Joe White of Hopedale, Alisa (Cory) Waller of Pekin, Leland (Lindsay) White of Hopedale, Adam White of Delavan, and Dustin (Angie) White of Hopedale; six grandchildren, Cameron Waller of Morton and Audrey Waller of Pekin, Atticus and Santiana White of Delavan, and Rainna and Alannah White of Hopedale; and two sisters, Candice (Keith) Cremeens of Hopedale, and Mary Ann (Michael) Fritz of Schaumburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and granny who cherished the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed reading, singing hymns, and watching her grandchildren in all their activities. “Granny” was their biggest fan.

Nancy was strong in her faith being a devoted member of the Minier Assembly of God Church for over 40 years.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Minier Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Bob Eby officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Griesemer Cemetery following the service.
