Nola Gardner

Nola Gardner, 86, of Pekin, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at her residence.

She was born September 2, 1939 in Peoria to Glen and Hazel Bennett Slack.

She married the love of her life, Terry L Gardner April 12, 1958 in Tremont.  He preceded her in death on September 6, 1998.

Also preceding her in death were one brother, Donald Slack and one sister Betty Zeller.

Surviving are two sons, James A. (Toby) Gardner of Pekin and Stephen L. (Vicky) Gardner of Tremont.   One Daughter, Debra E. Moldenhauer of Pekin.  Ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.   Two sisters, Verla Martin of Pekin and Norma Yordy of Pekin.  Several nieces and nephews.

Nola attended Lighthouse Church of God in Pekin.

She enjoyed crocheting and putting together jig saw puzzles.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon Friday, June 5, 2026 at the Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont.  Her grandson, Tanner Moldenhauer will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
