Norman Seest

Norman G. Seest, 84, formerly of Hopedale, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in Sterrett, AL.

He was born December 3, 1939 in Mason County to Charles and Lila F. Penny Seest.  He married Mary Jane Reed on September 22, 1962 at Peoria Christian Center.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Seest of Sterrett, AL; his children, Eric (Eleanor) Seest of Avon, IN, Thomas (Martha) Seest of Graysville, TN, Sarah Whitehouse of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Jeanette Wells of Sterrett, AL; 12 grandchildren;  four great grandchildren; and three brothers, Donald, Lyle, and Darrell Seest.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Norman served in the United States Army.

He worked at Caterpillar Inc. as a facilities manager.

He was a member of Bloomington Christian Fellowship.  He taught Bible class at Hopedale Commons.

His funeral will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale.  Frank Brozenec will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Mennonite Cemetery in Hopedale.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Christian Life Academy in Hopedale.
