Pamela De Ann (Jennings) Petsas, 73, of Minier, entered into rest on May 16, 2025.
She was born on February 15, 1952, in Alton, Illinois, to Donald and Anna (Choate) Jennings. She was first married to Larry Davis, who preceded her in death, and later married Petros Christodoulos Petsas on August 2, 1990, who was laid to rest on August 8, 2021.
Pamela is survived by her children: Larry (Phoebe) Davis, Christodoulos (Wendy) Petsas, Michael Petsas, Katia (Justin) Bauer, and Anna (Michael) Underhill. All of her children reside in Minier, Illinois, reflecting the close bond Pamela shared with her family.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michael Petsas, Victoria Davis, Petros Petsas, Meredith Davis, Cole Bauer, Cody Bauer, DeAnna Bauer, Aeson Underhill, Eryx Underhill, and a new grandchild expected later this month. Additional survivors include her brother-in-law, Michael Petsas of Bloomington; her sister-in-law, Anthi Savvides of Cyprus; and her dear lifelong friend Susan Malone.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Pamela was preceded in death by her sisters Susan Blan and Kim Housman, and brother Donald Jennings Jr.
Pamela was the proud owner and operator of Zorba's Restaurant in Normal, Illinois, from 1983 until her retirement on December 13, 2015. She spent many years connecting with the local community, especially college students. Many of them returned years later with their families, which reflected the care and warmth Pamela poured into her work.
Earlier in life, she enjoyed listening to music and helping her children with home renovation projects. In retirement, she loved watching television, attending family gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Minier. Her funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, also at the funeral home. Fr. Theofanis will officiate. Burial will follow at the Minier Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund in honor of her two sons who are active law enforcement officers.
