Patsy VanDyke

Patsy E. VanDyke, 74, of Tremont, formerly of Mackinaw, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at her home.

She was born April 15, 1948 in Bloomington to Lyle and Louise Allen Hasty.  She married Larry E. VanDyke on January 4, 1967 in Mackinaw, and he passed away July 27, 2019.

Surviving are her mother, Louise Hasty of Washington; two daughters, Amy (Randy) Payne of Mackinaw and Beth Sands of Tremont; three grandchildren, Kaila Magnuson of Canton, Aleigh Payne and Hannah Payne, both of Mackinaw; one great grandchild, Case Magnuson; and one brother, Bob (Rita) Hasty of Lacon.

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Jeffery Allen VanDyke; and one brother, Alan Hasty.

Patsy worked at the Mackinaw IGA, Thompsons, and Sullivan’s in Morton for many years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mackinaw.

She enjoyed cooking and taking day trips with her husband.

A private graveside service will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery. Pastor Phil Somers will officiate. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
