Phyllis Taylor

Phyllis M. Taylor, 83, of Delavan, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born June 27, 1940 in Spring Lake Township to Samuel Evan and Lola Esther Martin Taylor.

Surviving are one daughter, Amy (Mike) Fetcho of Mackinaw; her grand kitty, Evie; one brother, Ivan (Colleen) Martin of East Peoria; one sister, Lola Esther (Larry) Cross of Havana; many nieces and nephews; and all her close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lowes “Lou” Taylor; and two sisters, Linda Koetter and Darla Griffin.

Phyllis retired from the banking industry after 37 years retiring in 2004.

She was an active member of the Delavan Baptist Church and its Circle of Love Group.

She was a loving and nurturing mother, and will be greatly  missed by her daughter, siblings and her friends.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 am Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan.  Pastor Andy Goewey will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, also at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
