Ralph Lee Martin Jr.

Ralph Lee Martin, Jr, 73, of Morton, formerly of Delavan, passed away at 2:48pm Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. 

He was born October 8, 1949 in Pekin, the only child of Verla (Slack) and Ralph Lee Martin Sr.  

Ralph worked at the Federal Warehouse in East Peoria and then later retired from Caterpillar Inc. in Morton after 30 years. 

Surviving are his caring mother, Verla Martin of Pekin, loving wife of 30 years, Kathryn L. of Morton, and his children from a previous marriage; 

one daughter, Dawn Martin of Wyoming and her children; (Ashley Yockey (Trevor and Lyvia Webster) of Wyoming, Desiree' VanBuren (Amelia and Alayna Wigant) of WI., and Waylon Copple of WA.), and one son, Shane Martin of Pekin and his children; (Christian Martin (Wesley, Winter, and Mia Martin), Cole Martin, and Jenna Martin of Pekin). 

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Receiving family and friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont.  A private burial will be at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan at a later date. 

Memorials may be made to Delavan American Legion Post 382.
