Randall “Obie” C. Oberheizer, 77, of Tremont, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Bickford House in Peoria.
He was born May 28, 1949 in Peoria to Lloyd “Leo” and Betty C. Miller Oberheizer. He married Brenda Thomas on October 11, 1969 in Peoria, and she survives.
Also surviving are one sister, Sally (Hunt) Stahl of Morton; one niece, Dahlia Bolin; and one nephew, Patrick “Bumper” (Susan) Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jason; one daughter, Molly; and one niece, Rebecca Bolin.
Randy graduated from Manual High School in 1968. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. as a millwright in 2002.
He was a member of the New Beginnings Church in Tremont.
Randy also loved to volunteer at the Hope Chest in Pekin, IL. Helping with the distribution of school book bags and Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. As well as helping with the trunk or treat on Halloween.
Randy loved the outdoors, including mowing, yardwork, and camping. He often said, “If I make one person laugh today, I’ve done my job.” Randy was a big fan of the NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers.
A memorial service for Randy and his daughter, Molly, will be at 11:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Pastor Scott Miller and Pastor David Craig will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00- 10:45 am before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Alzheimer’s Association.
