Robert C. Marlatt

Robert (Bob) Clarence Marlatt age 91 of Armington Illinois passed away peacefully on 7/16/2026. 

Born on 1/31/1935 in Peoria Illinois Bob graduated from Manual high-school and went on to serve in the military and attained the rank of sergeant. He then went on to work at Caterpillar for 30 years. Bob was known for his honesty, integrity, faith, love for others, teasing, nicknames, and sayings. 

“I don’t have favorites, I pick on everybody” 

Bob enjoyed spending time with his wife, his kids, grandkids, & great grandkids. He enjoyed making up nicknames for all he knew and loved. Bob loved the Lord and his favorite scripture was Psalm 29.  He loved cubs baseball and westerns. He loved to spend time outdoors, he loved animals, and he loved caring for his property. 

“Some days you can’t make a nickel”

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Robert D Marlatt and Dorothy (Beall) Marlatt.

His sister Dorothy June Pratt.

His wife Ronda Kay (Dargel) Marlatt.

His son Robert Marlatt.

He is survived by his daughters Rebecca (Stan) Krontz, Regina (Kevin) Siscoe. Daughter in law Karen Marlatt.

Grandchildren: Julie Marlatt, Jason Marlatt, Jena (Ryan) Welker, Kate (Marlon) Rodriguez, Wes (Laura) Siscoe, Austin Siscoe, Kallie (Steven) Terranova, Isaac (Jen) Stroup, Tirzah (Zach) Miller

Great grandchildren: Camilla, Zion, and Maverick Rodriguez. Judah Siscoe. Danilo and Ruby Lee Terranova. Selah and Judah Stroup. Elizabeth and David Robert Miller. 

The family wishes to thank Triniti Miller, Sydney Connett, the staff at the loft nursing home, and the staff at OSF Richard L. Owen’s Hospice home, for their diligent care of Bob in his last months and moments. 

A private graveside service will be held for family.
