Robert “Taco” DeTrempe, 69, of Henry, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his home.
He was born July 10, 1952 in Springfield to Robert and Nancy Marion Underwood DeTrempe. He married Jan Mulvaney on June 19, 1999 in Washburn, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Marti of Henry, Melinda (Cody) Broadus of Princeton, Stacey, Heather, and Jesse; several grandchildren; two sisters, Sybil Pulling of Pattonsburg and Nanci (Roger) Pulling of Wewahitchka, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Daniel.
Robert worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 2008.
He was a member of the NRA, National Trappers Association, and was an instructor for the Hunter and Safety Course.
He loved to fish, trap, collect knives, and was known as “Mr. Fix It”.
His funeral will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brooks Grove Cemetery in Stanford.
