Obituary
Robert E. Schackow Jr. 65, of Lacon, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Marshall County.
He was born on June 4, 1956 in Lockport, NY to Robert E. and Vivian Church Schackow Sr.
He was preceded by his parents and brother, Dan Schackow.
Surviving are his son, Ross Schackow of Washburn; two daughters, Bailey Jones of Denver, Bridget (Eric) Tomlinson of Toluca; daughter at heart, Delana McCormick of Lacon, six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Alan (Guylaine) Schackow of Marquette Heights and Mark Schackow of Mackinaw; four sisters, Sherry (Bill) Olson of Peoria, Marcia (Dave) Whitehurst of Dunlap, Rose (Dan) Hoffman of Dunlap, and Tina (Mark) Fadale of Lockport, NY.
Robert worked at HGS in Peoria for 30 years as a maintenance supervisor.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoor.
His funeral will be held 2:00 Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Hope Baptist Church in Mackinaw. Pastor Tim Severt will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45 pm Sunday at the church. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw will officiate.
