Roberta J. Allen

Roberta June Allen, 95, formerly of Delavan, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2023. Roberta was born on June 3rd, 1928, to James and Estella Mulcahey. She married David John Allen on March 4th, 1951 and  he passed away in 1993.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and daughter, Susan Beth, who passed away in 1973.

She is survived by her son, David James (Cassie) Allen of Chillicothe; and her daughter, Liz (Brent) Etter of Plano, TX, along with granddaughter, Lindsey Etter of McKinney, TX, and two nieces and one nephew. 

Roberta graduated from Bradley University.  She was a high school business teacher for many years in New Holland and San Jose, IL. Her love for her students was unmatched.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A public graveside service will be held at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan on Monday, December 18th at 11:00am. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Family members will be at the Farmhouse in Delavan for all who want to stop by and visit immediately after the graveside service.
