Ronald Stanley Cramer, 76, of Delavan, passed away on August 9, 2022 at 9:30 p.m. at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born January 12, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois to Herbert Stanley Cramer and Opal Marie Cramer.
He was survived by his long time significant other, Linda Van Etten, of Delavan; his brother, Patrick Michael (Diana) Kelly of East Peoria; his two sons and daughter, Michael Roy Cramer (Lora Marion) of N. Pekin and Gregory J. Cramer (Colleen) of Sarasota, Fl., and Jody L. Burchard/Cramer of Lake City, Fl; he also had seven grandchildren, Devin Cramer of Riverview, Fl. , Christina Cramer-Auger (Justin) of Angier, N.C., Kevin Burchard of Lake City, Fl., Beka Hoerr of Manito, IL, Rikki Marion of Pekin, IL, Johnnie Sorenson of Creve Coeur, IL, and Dani Marion of Creve Coeur, IL, four Great Grandchildren, Lillian Hoerr of Manito, IL, Landon Burchard of Lake City, Fl., Lauren Stokes of Manito, IL, and Octavia Cramer of Creve Coeur, IL, two nephews, Mike Kelly (Jessica) of Metamora, IL, Mark Kelly (Larilyn) of Creve Coeur, IL, two Great Nephews and Great Niece, Mike Kelly and Madilyn Kelly of Metamora, IL, and Christopher Kelly of Creve Coeur, IL.
Ronald was drafted into the Marine Corp in March of 1966 and served during the Vietnam War where he earned a Purple Heart, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Presidential Unit Citation. He was honorably discharged in June of 1968 after being wounded in combat.
A memorial mass will be at 10:00am Saturday, September 17, 2022 St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception at 505 East 4th Street Delavan, IL 61734. Father Mike Adrie will officiate. There will be family/friends gathering after the service. That location will be announced the day of the service. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
Ronald passed of Lung Cancer and the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude or The American Cancer Society for further research.
