Ronald Orrill Obituary

Ronald “Ron” K. Orrill, 79, of Washington, formerly of Pittsfield, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

He was born January 28, 1945 in Pittsfield to Russell Hugh and E. Kathleene Robinson Orrill.  He married Roberta (Bobbe) Urven on May 16, 1965.  He then married Lynn Paluska.  He was later together with Deborah S. Foster since July 15, 2004 and they married June 13, 2015.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah Orrill of Washington; two children, William “Bill” (Anita) Orrill of Lynn Haven, FL and Shon (Melissa) Orrill of Pleasant Plains; three grandchildren, Collin (Brandi) Orrill of Ashland, Delanie Orrill of Lynn Haven, FL, and Chase Orrill of Pleasant Plains; two great grandchildren, Cailin and Benson Orrill; three sisters, Becky Mayes of Gilmore, TX, Rhonda McCartney of Morton, and Rita (Bob Hasty) Pulling of Lacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert “Bob” Orrill.

Ron was an over the road truck driver during his working career.

He was a member of Lion’s Club and Sons of the American Legion, both in Griggsville.

Ron was very proud to have many family members who served or are serving our country. His two sons, Bill and Shon, daughter-in-law, Melissa, grandson, Collin, and nephews, Mike Mason, Robert “Bobby” Orrill, and Greg Clampitt.

He was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of Life will be at a later date.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to American Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
