Ronald Simpson Sr.

Ronald E. Simpson Sr., 76, of Pekin, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home.

He was born December 11, 1945 in Pekin to Eloyd and Francis Rush Simpson.

Surviving are his children, Shane Michael Williams of Missouri, Crystal (James) Parker of Peoria, Rachel (Josh Kingery) Lawson of Pekin, and Ronald E. (Chantal) Simpson Jr. of Canton; eight grandchildren, Taven, Caitlyn, Dominic, Cora, Alexander, James, Ana, and Keira; two great grandchildren, Aspyn and Ryker; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Don.

Ron served in the United States Marines during Vietnam and was a life member of Marine Corp League in Pekin and a life member of Amvets Post 169 in Pekin.

He enjoyed leather work.

His funeral will be at 2:00 pm Monday, November 7, 2022 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont.  Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:45 pm Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin with military honors by Tazewell Military Rites Team and the United State Marines.
