Roxie L. Lang, 94, of Tremont, formerly of Morton, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Hopedale Nursing Home.
She was born December 16, 1929 in Gorin, MO to Julius and Lelah Rector Parrish. She married Frank Lang on October 26, 1951 in Pekin, and he passed away September 1, 2013.
Surviving are two daughters, Kay (Larry) Weeks of Tremont and Leia (Tom) Springer of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Andy (Kim) DuPage of Tremont, Amy (Dameion Blalock) DuPage of Tremont; Alex Weeks of Hopedale, Nate (Renae) Springer of Pekin, Aaron (Julie) Springer of NC, Amanda Spencer of Pekin, Austin Wood of Pekin, Stacey (Brandon) Devers, and Candice Dowds of Pekin; 26 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris McDonald of Iowa and Darlene Younkin of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Randall Lang.
Roxie worked at Rx Drug Store in Morton for several years and retired from Roecker’s Hardware in Morton.
She was a member of Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria and enjoyed crafting.
Her funeral will be at 2:30 pm Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Rev. Nate Springer will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:15 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Private family entombment will be in Glendale Memorial Garden Mausoleum in Pekin.
