Roy Bennett

Roy Charles Bennett, 83, formerly of Mackinaw, IL, died on Tuesday, October 28th, at his home in Manchester, MO with his family and beloved pets at his side. 
He was born October 10, 1942, in Bloomington, IL to the late Charles Vernon Bennett and Evelyn Mae (Schwarzentruber) Bennett.  He married Lois Dewey on September 15, 1963, in Mackinaw.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Bennett, one daughter, Julia Bennett (both of Manchester, MO) and one brother, Daniel (Diane) Bennett (Minier, IL).  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Natalie Sue, and a brother, David Bennett.
Roy was a long-time member of the Mackinaw United Methodist Church and more recently, Manchester United Methodist Church.  He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria for 37 years, retiring in 2002.

There will be no services at this time.  Cremation has been accorded.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
