Russell Spaulding

Russell Spaulding, 87, of Mackinaw, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026 at his home.

Russell was born in Funks Grove , May 21, 1939 to Howard and Joyce Spaulding.  He married Janet Hays December 9, 1960 in Mackinaw, and she passed away October 4, 2015.

Surviving are his three daughters, Brenda (Rance) Grieder of Congerville, Lisa Spaulding of Mackinaw, and Kristi Spaulding of Mackinaw; three grandsons, Justin, Jeremy, and Randy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Charlotte, Rose Mary, and Linda.

Russell was a member of the Mackinaw Christian Church. He worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Morton for 30 years.

He was a lifelong Cardinal fan, loved music, jogging, old movies, and reading.

A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw followed by a graveside service at 11:30 am at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Mackinaw Rescue Squad.
