Ruth Pflederer

Ruth L. Pflederer, 89, of Tremont, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

She was born July 27, 1936 in Burlington, IA to John and Rose Vierling Frank.  She married Chris Pflederer Jr. on December 30, 1956 in Oakville, IA and he passed away August 13, 2013.

Surviving are her children, Kevin (Debbie) Pflederer of Birmingham, AL, Kurt (Dana) Pflederer of Romeoville, and Karen (Steve) Ehnle of Bradford; one daughter-in-law, Lynne (Brent) Tuebel of Peoria; 12 grandchildren, Neil, Matthew, Eric, Ben, Hannah, Beau, Gloria, Wyll, Keith, Adam, Jenna, and Charity; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Betty Frank of Nashville, TN; and sisters-in-law, Ann Frank of Waynesboro, VA and Ellen Frank of Mt. Pleasant, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Keith, in 1989; five brothers, Bob, Ed, Norm, John, and Ken Frank; and two sisters, Lillian Ramseyer and Evelyn Schmidt.

At the age of 19, Ruth gave her heart to the Lord and served Him faithfully for 70 years.

Ruth was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Tremont Apostolic Christian Church, where her funeral will be at 10:00 am Friday, May 1, 2026. Ministers of the church will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:45 am Friday, also at the church.  Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to We Care Inc. or Apostolic Christian Restmor, both in Morton.
