Sandra Heinold Obituary

Sandra Devoted Wife, Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

Sandra June Heinold, loving mother and grandmother, passed away in her bed, surrounded by family at the age of 79, on Sunday evening.

Sandy grew up with her twelve siblings in the heart of Illinois, in the 1940’s. She was very close with her sisters. They maintained this loving companionship throughout their lives with daily phone chats, cards and gifts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, [siblings], her husband, Ronald and daughter, Danette.  Surviving her is her son Ron, three grandsons, five granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Sandy found the love of her life in Ronald Gene Heinold. As a couple, their complementary personalities made for years of happiness. Together with their children, Ron and Sandy started a new life in West Bend, Wisconsin in 1970 to work for the quality American cookware manufacturer, The West Bend Company. She was a dedicated employee for the remainder of her career.

In their time off, Ron and Sandy took pleasure in spending time with their daughter and son both indoors and out. They were very fond of indulging in the scenery of a Sunday drive or escaping to their vacation retreat in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, for fishing and relaxing on The Mississippi River.

They were members of The Moose Lodge for many years and attended many dances, Friday night fish fries and other social events with their local friends, acquaintances and co-workers.

The couple were also regular bowlers at their local bowling alley. Sandy received numerous awards, trophies and patches for her bowling skills.

Ron and Sandy became empty nesters when their daughter graduated in 1980 then their son joined The Army in 1985.  The couple often traveled and enjoyed each other’s company, gardening and maintaining their home in their time off work.

Sandy retired from The West Bend Company in 1998 and spent more time in her garden. She also began making charming greeting cards with intricate detail. These creative cards were sent to everyone she knew for birthdays or other events until just a few weeks before her passing.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, September 24, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. There will be no visitation.
