Sandra Rademaker

Sandra J. (Wood) Rademaker, 85, of San Jose, passed away February 15, 2022 at her home. 

She was born July 23, 1936 in San Jose to Fred N. and Eliza Shepler Wood.  She married Vernon Rademaker on November 24, 1968 in San Jose, and he survives. 

Also surviving are her children, Matthew Rademaker, Shaun Rademaker, and Megan J. Rademaker, all of San Jose;  four grandchildren, Alexis, Christian, Ashton, and Antonio “Tom”; and one great granddaughter, Arilynn. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Hazel, Lois, and Frances; and three brothers, Rollie, William, and Raymond “Tubby”. 

Sandy was a homemaker and operated an in-home daycare for several years. 

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Emden, where she taught Sunday school for many years. 

She loved playing board games  with her family and friends, sports, John Wayne, cooking, gardening, and watching the wild Canadian Geese around the farm. Sandy also had a card ministry, often sending cards to others to let them know she was thinking of them. 

Her funeral will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 22, 2022.  Pastor John Schurter and John Cross will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:00 pm Monday and from 9:00 to 9:45 am Tuesday, both at the church. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, San Jose.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
