Sharon Hicks

Sharon K. Hicks, 78, of Tremont, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at the home of her son in Pekin.

She was born June 14, 1947 in Barnett, MO to Lloyd and Lena McDow Kays.  She married Luther Hicks on December 27, 1967 in Eldon, MO and he passed away June 17, 2008.

Surviving are her son, Travis J. Hicks of Pekin; three grandchildren, Landon Michael DeFoer of Iowa City, Kaydence Parker Hicks of Pekin, and Daine Hunter Hicks of Brimfield; one great grandson, Hunter Alan Hicks; one brother, Darrell (Nancy Ann) Kays of Estero, FL; and one sister, Peggy (Herb) Hicks of Burlington, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Donald Gene, Milton, and Paul.

Sharon retired from working at Kroger’s for many years.

She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and was an animal and bird lover.

Cremation has been accorded and burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO at a later date.
