Stephen L Bottorff, beloved father, friend, and devoted patriot, passed away at the age of 74. Born on September 2, 1949, in Springfield, IL to Charles Elliott Bottorff and Marcella Maisenbacher, Stephen lived a life filled with love, passion, and unwavering dedication to his country.

Stephen was a journeyman for CILCO for many years, where he showcased his exceptional skills and work ethic. Outside of his profession, Stephen found solace and joy in the company of his loyal bulldog, Butkus. They shared a special bond that brought Stephen immeasurable happiness.

Nothing brought Stephen more joy than spending time with his military buddies and being actively involved with the local legion. He took great pride in his service to the United States of America and cherished every opportunity to talk about his love for his country.

Stephen was a dedicated father to his children, Kriscenda Weber, Brian Bottorff, Nathan Gaif, Mysteree d’Oliviera, McGwire Lofthouse, and Branson Bottorff. He was a grandfather to Lyndsey, Myah, Alex, Olivia, and a great grandfather to Ekko. He shared a connection with his children and was always there to lend a listening ear and provide his guidance and support.

Stephen adored Cardinals baseball and Dolphins football, and his enthusiasm for sports was contagious. He cheered for his favorite teams with unwavering loyalty and passion, bringing excitement to every game.

Stephen was a proud member of New Castle Church in Mackinaw, IL, where he found comfort in his faith. He was in the process of furthering his spiritual journey by going back to school to become a pastor, studying various versions of the Bible. His commitment to his religious beliefs was inspiring to all who knew him.

Stephen L Bottorff will be remembered as a dedicated professional, a devoted father, and a true patriot. His presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
