Steve Riggenbach Obituary

Steve Eugene Riggenbach, 77, of Fayetteville, TN, was embraced in the arms of Jesus at 4:26 pm Monday, August 8, 2022, at his home.

He was born February 16, 1945 in Tremont, Illinois to Ruben and Irene (Strawbridge) Riggenbach. He met his great love, Sharon Gabhart in 1964 after dating for a few months. They became engaged on Halloween October 31, 1964, and married February 8, 1965.

Surviving are his two daughters, Tracey Riggenbach of Spring Hill, TN and Teri (Michael) Aldridge of Fayetteville, TN; one grandson, Jacob Riggenbach of Fayetteville, TN; and one sister, Janice (Jerry) Farrow; several nieces and nephews, and his Fiancé’ Denise Brantley also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lawrence (Larry) Riggenbach, and his wife, Sharon. 

Steve attended Tremont Grade School and Cambridge High School.  Steve was a highly skilled carpenter. As an entrepreneur, he started several businesses:  Riggenbach Remodeling in Rock Island, Il, Appliance Protectors, All Peoria Parcel, and Riggenbach Home Remodeling in Peoria.  He worked for Hickory Ridge Apartments and St. Augustine doing renovations and building maintenance.

 Steve loved the Lord, and his life was lived as an example of faithfulness and trust in the Lord. He enjoyed listening to Gospel Music, Jimmy Fortune, Joey and Roy, and hymns, he also enjoyed watching kickboxing, basketball, spending time with his family.

His funeral will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 15, 2022 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
