Steven Garman

Steven D. Garman, 72, of Tremont, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 in Tremont. 

He was born July 10, 1951 in Pekin to Vernon R. and Helen E. Nannen Garman.  He married Sara J. Kuntz on April 10, 1982 in Gridley, and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Zachariah (Carmen) Garman of Mapleton, Christopher Garman of Tremont, and Nikita (Alan) Holton of Las Vegas, NV; and two grandchildren, Jude and Quinn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Douglas Garman; and one sister-in-law, Brenda (Wells) Kuntz.

Steve worked as an electrician at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years. He retired in 2003 in good standing with UAW 974.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling to national parks, photography, lighthouses, and spending time in his yard and shed.

He attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont, where his funeral will be at 10:00 am Monday, April 15, 2024.  Ministers of the church will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Sunday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont and from 9:00 to 9:45 am Monday at the church.  Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont.
