Trudy A Thompson

Trudy A (Giovanetto) Thompson, 68, of Tremont, passed away peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025.

She was born December 7, 1956 to James and Wilma Giovanetto. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Delaine Platt.

Surviving are four sons, Josh (Leslie) Neville, Jordan Neville, Joseph (Joan) Neville and Jared (Kelsey) Neville, all of Tremont; 4 grandsons; and 5 siblings Jamie (JoAnn) Giovanetto of Boulder, Colorado, Kevin (Linda) Giovanetto of Tremont, Rick (Pam) Giovanetto of Tremont, Kim Knierim (Dwight) of Avon, Indiana and Becky (Ted) Quinn of Morton.

Trudy had a very big heart and an overwhelming dedication to her family. She took great pride in being a boy Mom and a boy Grandma! She spent every spare moment that she had with her kids and grandkids. Trudy worked at Parker Hanifan for 30 years where her coworkers became not only friends, but family. Trudy was passionate about growing flowers, especially tulips, and loved to soak up the sun. She also loved watching the sunrise and sunset and capturing photos of various weather conditions!

A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held on Friday, December 5th from 5-7pm at the Tremont United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
