Vera Wurster

Vera Mae Wurster passed away on Tuesday October 4th surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 25, 1934 in Tremont to Elmer Lee Weeks and Katherine (Knapp).

She married her beloved husband Don Wurster on July 20, 1958, he preceded her in death in 2003. Along with her parents, she had 5 brothers that also preceded her in death: Donald, Orville, Richard, Earl, & Clyde.

Surviving is her only daughter, Marilyn Jolly (Don), as well as granddaughters April Wilson (Kevin) and Kristen Connor (Scott Hecathorn), great grandchildren McKenzie & Morgan Wilson and Liam & Finn Connor, and great-great grandson Elijah. And her cherished kitty Susie.

Vera spent her life devoted to her family.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved by everyone that knew her. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband and instilled that same sense of adventure in her family.

She was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Creve Coeur. Her faith in the Lord was strong, she enjoyed listening to hymns and reading her Bible.

An intimate grave side service will be held by Davis-Oswald Funeral Home and the Reverend David Lynn on Monday Oct 10, 2022 at 11:00am at Mount Hope Cemetery in  Tremont.

Memorials may be made to the 1st Baptist Church in her honor.
