Vickie Elston Obituary

Vickie L. Elston, 67, of Peoria, formerly of Bartonville, passed away at 3:15 pm Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care in Pekin.

She was born March 29, 1953 in Peoria to Wayne L. and Delores M. Johnson.

Surviving are her special friend, John Vogel of Peoria; two brothers, Albert (Suzanne) Elston of TN and Delbert (Paula) Elston of MS; one sister, Rebecca (Warren) Howard of Pekin; two step-brothers, Dennis (Kim) Caughey of Chillicothe and Tim Caughey of Peoria; three step-sisters, Cyndia (Chris) Polhemus of Germantown Hills, Rebecca (Dave) Drum of Washington, and Linda (Steve) Williams of Morton; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Vickie worked at the Community Workshop in Peoria and was a member of the Blind Center in Peoria, where she enjoyed selling candy bars.

She enjoyed 1960’s music, puzzles, games, playing Bingo, and was a St. Louis Cardinal fan.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2020 at Park View Cemetery in Peoria. Pastor Robert Nafziger will officiate. There will be no visitation. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Peoria Blind Center or American Kidney Foundation.
